The book “Verschattung” ( Shadow ) is an autofictional story of a patient navigating through the year of 2020. In 42 chapters he tells about his journey of diagnosis and treatment, recovery and a change of perspective asking: What is it that we call life? The accompanying images either step into foreign contexts or show moments of a strangely new presence. The personal meets the technical meets the imaginary. And on top of that there is a pandemic going on. The book is my diploma work at HGB Leipzig.

Can books have business cards? For Rundgang 2017 and It’s a Book fair at HGB Leipzig Tabea Nixdorff and I flipped through Institut für Buchkunst’s backlist and designed 30 cards for 30 books.
